“I will be graduating from the School of Nursing this June, and going into nursing school, I had no idea what it was going to be like. I knew that I had to take classes and I knew that I had clinical rotations, but that was pretty much it. So, my biggest advice is that now, there are so many resources out there especially different social media Instagrammers who happen to be nurses, happen to be doctors. They have so many blogs and resources out there for you to understand exactly what the nursing school journey will be like.
Yes, you will have two or three, 12-hour shifts a week on top of all of your quizzes, exams, your NCLEX studying, your projects, and it is a very different undergraduate lifestyle than someone who, say, a biology major. Nursing is a challenging career but I 100% love what I do. I'm so glad that I went into the field of nursing.”

“...As a kid, I was very energetic and outgoing kid. My parents thought that bringing me here to the United States would give me more of an opportunity. Because in the US, we celebrate diversity and we celebrate how people are very different and so, they felt that I would thrive more in this environment. And so growing up, I really dipped my feet into everything. I did ballet. I did gymnastics. I went to Chinese school, Japanese school. My parents never ever stopped me from doing anything I wanted to do.

The only thing that they told me was that no matter what I did, I absolutely had to do it to the best of my ability. They never really forced me to do anything that I didn't want to do and they really encouraged me to participate in whatever I wanted. Through everything, my parents really supported me.

To me, Asian representation is really important. Whenever I would be on set, I would always be the only Asian-American, so that's part of the reason why I started my social media and to really talk about my healthcare experience as both a future nurse as well as an Asian-American as well as a student in college and show really what my lifestyle is like...”

“Outside of school, sort of my biggest interest include research. I recently got my first IRB
approved, which is so, so exciting. But other than that, I also 💕 love 🎂 baking, which I want to get better at. And I'm a runner. 🏃‍♀️ I love running around the perimeter of my school, which is four miles or so, but hopefully, in the near future, I'll be running a marathon.
So, my #youtube channel is really focused around teaching people about things and resources that I didn't have when I was trying to get into nursing school. I made a video specifically, for example, on how to get into the UCLA School of Nursing how to study efficiently rather
than just studying for a long time but not being very efficient. I also have just really fun videos
on there; me traveling to Japan, and also some of my modeling and acting videos as well.”
