I have failed. Yes I’m telling you I have failed nursing school before. However I want to tell you failure is not a bad thing. It shows that I wanted this more and more. It shows you have integrity and the power to not give up. You lost so many battles that you feel that you cannot win the war. However the war has not ended. You may have lost the battles but you will win your war. Remember all my medical students, nurses, physician assistants. PT, OT ,RT, everyone has blood on their scrubs and fought but their wounds have healed after their long battles. They have won their war and now it’s time for you to win yours.

“Do you get along with your coworkers?”...”well I guess you can say that”....When your short staffed the next shift...and your co-workers are leaving you behind..

Can’t hate on Bruce Lee! Don’t talk down on your fellow nurses. Tell them how amazing they are. When they say your an inspiration, tell them” no you inspire me”. It’s okay to be different. It’s okay to be you! ❤️#nursesinspirenurses : @nineliveshealth:

“My daughter passed away from a stroke 5 months ago. She died in this hospital. She was brought to the ICU and I was there every day, but I couldn’t help her. My legs would not function the way I wanted them...And I just watched her as she slipped away from me. I felt useless....”

“No...you did the best you can...”
:
:
This patient of mine came in with a stroke and had told me the story of how her daughter passed away with the same diagnosis. As she told me this story Tears came from her eyes and even touched my heart where tears fell from my eyes. The way she felt useless and could not help her shows how people can feel when they are in their lowest point. :
:
Remember to open you heart to others because we nurses can feel peoples pain more than others. This touched my heart as it reminds me of my moms story and why I chose to be a nurse. My ninja skill is opening my heart to others and to always listen and keep my ears open👂#ninjascrubsquad
:
#ninjascrubsquad- what skills do you have to give to your patients. Why do you want to wear those scrubs and white coat? Tag 5 friends and tag me as well! I will share your stories on my Instagram! Love to hear from all of you! :

Having fun as nurses...especially when it’s with your sister.
———
I floated to a different floor for the first time as a nurse and out of luck...floated to my sisters floor. You know we may get on each other’s nerves at home but when we are nurses we definitely have each other’s back sort of like Meredith Grey and Cristina Yang but nursing style. ——— “You're my person. You will always be my person.” -- Cristina Yang

Why are nurses superheroes?...”because they fight and advocate for their patients everyday...sometimes even in silence.” And that people...can save their lives.

“You're going to make a difference. A lot of times it won't be huge, it won't be visible even. But it will matter just the same.”-James Gordon

“I was always shy and scared to be myself in front of others. Never was myself. When I became a nurse I was able to express myself and be the crazy nurse I want to be.

Here I am the Ninja Nurse ready to take on any day and night. Kind of like a superhero don’t you think? Ninja Nurse ready for battle!”

When people ask me “how do you have fun at work?”....”well...let’s just say getting an unstable patient from the ED...”

Those patients that come up and need Ativan right away...always fun…

When people ask you “how was work today?”...and you say “yep had a great day...No one died.”...👍🏼 but really don’t ask...😭
