This is YOUR Year. Own It!

This is YOUR Year. Own It!

Each year, we reflect on a list of attempted yet unaccomplished goals and wonder why, for another year, that all we proclaimed did not come to pass.

This year, I encourage you to be selfish in your goal making and keep yourself a priority.

I encourage you to make respecting, honoring and loving yourself a daily goal that will serve as a platform for your yearly goals to come to pass. When you learn to respect yourself, you begin to admire yourself, and from that admiration, you will seek self betterment. When you learn to honor yourself, you begin to understand that you are deserving of the best. And the moment you love yourself, you begin to accept failure, not as the end but simply a chance for a new beginning.

You begin to pave paths for your successes, and most importantly, you begin to prophecy greatness into your life.

Be more than your circumstance. Be bolder than your opposition. Be fiercer than your fears. Alter your outlook on yourself and you have the ability to alter your fate, not only for this upcoming year, but for everyday for the rest of your life.

I challenge you to preoccupy yourself with self improvement, consume yourself with your own accomplishments and pride yourself in the person you develop into. Though your confidence, willingness and determination, your goals will be evident by their manifestation in real life. Do not allow 2018 to be a year of unmet dreams, self disappointment and mindless goal setting. 2018 is about you, your dreams, your desires, your wants and your needs.

This is your year: declare it, proclaim it, pray for it, plan for it, breathe life into it, believe it, and most importantly, own it.
